Why should I buy the advert-free version?

How do I set up file access rights?

Depending on the server setup it may be necessary to set up file access rights. Usually you are able to edit these in your FTP program. This is only of significance for the text version. When you equip counter.php and counter.php with the complete read and right authorities then nothing can go wrong. Ask you webhoster if need be.

How do I insert the counter in .html files?

The counter can only be installed in .html files when these are equipped with PHP code. In most cases an .htaccess file is able to assist. Install a file with the name .htaccess in your web folder with the following content:

Should this not function please contact your web host. Unfortunately this is not always possible. You can always incorporate the counter in the .php files (the web package must be able to support PHP).
